    how it works

    Step 1:

The Legal Tool leads the specialist department through a questionnaire to collect key data.

    Step 2:

The Legal Tool analyses and evaluates the situation on the basis of the collected data.

    Step 3:

Depending on the requirements, the Legal Tool either generates a custom standardised document or a report of the situation analysis.

    Result:

Efficiency in the legal department through streamlined processes and insourcing to internal specialist departments

    Automated DPA generation
    for an eCommerce company

    SITUATION

An eCommerce business collaborates with numerous service providers to produce and post its advertising materials. This makes the processing of personal data one of the business’s core activities. The in-house counsel uses a lot of time and effort to review and create Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) for all service providers.

    SOLUTION

With the help of CLARIUS.LEGAL’s DPA Tool, marketing personnel can perform the DPA review for new service providers themselves and – where necessary – send out the automatically generated DPA. In critical cases, the system notifies the CLARIUS.LEGAL lawyers to investigate further.

    Automation of end customer contracts
    for FinTech start-up

    SITUATION

A FinTech start-up needs to draft and conclude contracts for various services and products for numerous end customers. However, the start-up has neither an internal legal department nor any legal expertise.

    SOLUTION

CLARIUS.LEGAL develops all necessary templates for standard contracts for the start-up. Subsequently, the templates are transferred to the Legal Tool for contract automation and the Tool is embedded on the FinTech’s website. Users can now register on the FinTech’s website and automatically receive a contract individually tailored for the selected product and recorded information.

    Document automation for purchasing contracts
    based on individual parameters

    SITUATION

In a retail business, purchasing agreements make up the majority of the contracts. The legal department writes all contracts manually which requires a lot of time and effort.

    SOLUTION

CLARIUS.LEGAL’s Legal Tool allows the purchase department to create the contracts autonomously. The Tool’s questionnaire collects all relevant data, reviews the predefined versions (e.g. for different commodity classes) and inserts the necessary clauses. Some of the parameters are defined to require an additional review by the legal department – the Tool is programmed accordingly so that this review is requested automatically. This decreases the legal department’s workload but still ensures that critical cases are monitored. Furthermore, the Tool can be set up to only create PDF versions to restrict users from modifying the contracts. This way, the Tool prevents unauthorised additions from the purchase department and therefore minimises laymen errors.
