Your preparation for theAI Act
2025 - The year of AI regulation
On February 2, 2025, the EU AI Act came into force – the world’s first comprehensive legislation for the use of artificial intelligence. The regulation has clear objectives: Strengthen trust, minimize risks and promote innovation at the same time.
For your company, this means taking action as soon as possible. Because whether you develop, deploy or simply use AI – the new rules affect almost every company. Now is the right time to prepare for them.
What is the AI Act?
The EU AI Act is a risk-based regulatory approach that categorises AI systems into four categories:
The EU AI Act is a risk-based regulatory approach that categorises AI systems into four categories:
- Unauthorised AI: AI systems that violate fundamental rights (e.g. mass surveillance).
- High-risk AI: Systems such as biometric monitoring or AI-supported recruitment.
Limited risks: - Chatbots or AI tools that need to make interactions more transparent.
- Low-risk AI: No direct requirements, but recommendations for best practices.
Even if your company does not use high-risk AI, there are important regulations that will apply from 2025, such as
- Transparency obligations: Disclosed when AI is in use.
- Non-discrimination: Ensure that AI systems do not deliver unequal results.
- Data protection and cyber security: Implementing comprehensive measures against risks.
- Documentation: Provide precise evidence of how AI systems are developed and used.

Knowledge is power – and saves money
AI ACTWhy you should act now

The implementation of the specifications requires preparation:
- Mandatory training has been in force since February 2, 2025. Everyone who works with AI must be aware of its risks and possible applications.
- Basic knowledge is mandatory: Understand how AI works, what the risks are and how you can use it safely.
The EU relies on strict controls – with clearly defined fines:
- Up to 30 million euros or 6% of global annual turnover for breaches of high-risk requirements.
- Up to 20 million euros or 4% of turnover for breaches of transparency obligations or the training obligation.
Many companies are already using AI – often without realising it. From chatbots and personalised marketing tools to automated processes in production and logistics: AI has long been part of everyday working life.
- Seize the opportunity: those who meet the requirements of the AI Act will strengthen their image and minimise risks.
